Flote Driver privacy notice

How Flote Driver, its sign-in text messages, and this website handle information about drivers and visitors. Effective September 9, 2026.

Who we are

FLOTE Software Company, a Montana corporation, operates the Flote Driver app and this website and is responsible for this notice.

Sign-in text messages are sent by R&E Distribution, LLC d/b/a Flote Distribution. Drivers who use the app are employed by Grizzly Pine Limited Liability Company. The three companies are affiliates under common ownership. In this notice, “Flote”, “we”, and “us” refer to them together.

What this notice covers

  • This website, driver.withflote.com.
  • The sign-in text-message program.
  • The Flote Driver app as it is available today. The app is in internal testing.

Where a feature is planned but not yet available, this notice says so. When the app changes, this notice is updated and the effective date changes with it.

This website

This website is a set of static pages with no accounts, forms, cookies, or analytics; Vercel, which hosts it, keeps standard access logs under its own privacy policy, and we do not use them to identify visitors.

Sign-in text messages

What we collect

The mobile number a dispatcher sets up for a driver, and a record that a code was requested and whether it was verified. The message itself contains only the code.

How it is used

To send a one-time passcode when a driver requests one, to confirm that the person signing in controls that number, and to limit repeated requests.

Service providers

Supabase provides the authentication service that stores the mobile number and issues codes. Telnyx delivers the messages. Both act as service providers for Flote and keep delivery and account records under their own policies: the Supabase privacy policy and the Telnyx privacy policy.

Marketing and sharing

We do not sell mobile numbers or SMS consent, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing or promotional use. No marketing messages are sent from this program.

The Flote Driver app

The app supports assigned delivery work. Today it handles the following:

  • Sign-in and session. Your mobile number, a session that keeps you signed in, and the driver record your number is set up for.
  • Route and delivery work. Assigned routes, stops, delivery instructions, and the status updates you enter as you complete stops.
  • Location. Precise location while your shift is on, including in the background on iOS so tracking can resume if the system closes the app. Location is not collected when your shift is off. Dispatch uses it for live progress, and completed deliveries keep their drive history.
  • Camera. Used only on the package scanning screen to read Metrc package tags so the hand-off matches the manifest.
  • Push notifications. A device token so the app can be told that your assignments changed.
  • Maps. Map imagery from Mapbox. When the map loads, Mapbox receives your device’s IP address and the map area requested; see the Mapbox privacy policy.

Planned, not yet available: proof-of-delivery photos and signatures at hand-off. This notice will be updated before that feature is released.

The app contains no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting services. Information it stores on your device is encrypted, is tied to your driver account, and is excluded from device backups.

Who receives information

  • Your employer and Flote dispatch staff, who see route, status, and location information as part of managing deliveries.
  • Service providers that process information on our behalf: Supabase (authentication), Telnyx (text-message delivery), Railway (hosting for the service the app talks to), Mapbox (maps), Apple and Google (delivering push notifications to your device), and Vercel (this website).
  • Montana’s cannabis tracking system, where transport manifests that identify the driver and vehicle must be filed under state law, and state regulators when records must be produced.
  • No advertising networks or data brokers. We do not sell personal information.

How long information is kept

  • Location samples leave your device once the Flote service confirms it has received them.
  • Sign-in sessions expire and can be revoked by Flote. When your access ends, the app stops collecting location and hides delivery information.
  • Delivery records, including location history, are kept as long as needed to operate deliveries, resolve disputes, and meet legal and regulatory recordkeeping duties, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Text-message delivery records and website access logs are kept by the providers named above under their own retention policies.

Your choices and requests

  • Text messages. Reply STOP to stop sign-in codes and START to receive them again. See the SMS program page. Because a code is the only way to sign in, stopping messages prevents new sign-ins.
  • Location. You can change the location permission in your device settings. The app needs location while a shift is on in order to work.
  • Access, correction, or deletion. Email drivers@withflote.com. We respond within 30 days. Some delivery and employment records must be kept for legal reasons even after a request.
  • Employment records are governed by your employer’s policies and are not covered by this notice.
